Supplier Diversity

Building and sustaining company-wide diversity and inclusion is essential to Cambium Assessment’s mission to empower educators with the research and data needed to improve student learning. For us, diversity is a strategic imperative. We need a workforce that represents the students, teachers, and communities we serve. Our vendors and suppliers are an important part of our success, and we believe that a diverse and inclusive supplier base   enables us to incorporate multiple perspectives, create innovative solutions, and provide enhanced goods and services that serve the needs of all students.

We work with suppliers to deliver a wide array of products and services that support our mission, and we work hard to ensure that we partner with the businesses that can best assist us in achieving our goals. Our Supplier Diversity Program gives us a platform to engage with small and large enterprises.

CAI’s Senior Management Team, in coordination with our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) director, establishes our vendor partner strategy and evaluates and selects suppliers. Our Contracts team has developed template agreements so that Cambium Assessment can quickly secure quality products and services from these best-in-class suppliers.

Our contract decision-making follows these guiding principles:

  • Foster business relationships that create equal opportunities for inclusion of all certified diverse-owned* business enterprises.
  • Facilitate knowledge and viewpoint sharing, driven by a collaborative, quality-focused approach.
  • Seek professional and effective relationships that drive capabilities, innovation, and value delivery.
  • Establish agreements that sustain benefits for all parties.

Are you a diverse-owned* business?

Cambium Assessment is committed to significantly increasing our work and the amount of dollars we spend with accredited diverse-owned suppliers. We want to establish partnerships that see diversity as the norm, not as an afterthought. We are passionate about making our products and services reflect the diversity of the students, schools, and communities we serve.

We invite qualified firms to register with us to do business and do good. We seek businesses that are certified as diverse-owned and have both the expertise and experience to help CAI succeed.

Cambium has partnered with SupplierOne (powered by supplier.io) to offer registrants a simple way to present their credentials.

By registering with SupplierOne you will be entered into their Master Database as a prospective business where their 350+ member companies can view your enterprise’s profile and capabilities.  Once registered, CAI will have access immediately to your profile and will contact you if we have an opportunity related to your submission.  The registration is free, in keeping with SupplierOne’s mission to  support every program by providing innovative and superior Supplier Diversity solutions.

Registration in the database does not guarantee a business opportunity.

* The term diverse-owned businesses refers to enterprises that are women-owned; Black-, Latinx-, or other minority-owned; disability-owned; veteran-owned; LGBTQ+-owned; and firms owned by other historically underrepresented groups in the global regions where CAI does business.
